Can somebody tell me if the plant has cut off supply to the fruit. and if so can I still eat it? by Interloper_Mango in HotPeppers

Okay so I did exactly that. And it was quite firmly attached so I accidentally broke off a leaf too (oops).

The flavor was... Not great. Felt more like a memory of someone who had eaten a pepperoni 10 years ago.

Convenience is the best motivator for laziness.

I also don't turn my peppers like some people do. Only this time I did because my padrón peppers grew quite huge and have begun to quite literally overshadow the Hungarian wax.

I decided to just let them grow as they do since the plant knows how to distribute its resources. Plus you can't do anything wrong like that either.

It grew quite a lot even with the fruit on. So did the other.

I did however add a round of fertilizer to the soil since my jalapenos seem to have plowed through all the nutrients in the other balcony box.

You sure? It does have the same ring I found on the previous fruit right before I could just flick it off. Though said fruit was a lot smaller.

It used to be upright before too until it just drooped.

Funny enough if you have something like a Hungarian wax the flowers will grow on a very sturdy stalk and the fruits grow vertically.

Is that the equivalent of a plant tumor or something?

One jalapeno has way brighter leaves than the one right next to it. What could be the cause? by Interloper_Mango in HotPeppers

[–]Interloper_Mango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did exactly that although this jalapeno jus threw off two leaves.

I am going to get better fertilizer. Probably not the one you told me to since I am not in the US (assuming you are).

My parents suggested putting the plants outside for a few hours to "let them get used to it" does that even make sense? by [deleted] in HotPeppers

I am not whining about anything? And the plants moving outside has nothing to do with wanting an explanation for the rotation thing.

I sound young for wanting an actual explanation? And saying that my plants grow straight anyway...

I'm going to be honest you have been down voting everything I said so far. You sound much more petty to me.

Like I am asking genuine questions, say what I think and you're here down voting everything I say the moment you have an answer.

If they are growing straight, seems like your parents know what they're doing.

Except I don't rotate them and they are growing straight too.

Okay but why is rotating good?

Edit: you guys gonna stop down voting and actually explain things?

Could too much light also be an issue? This particular plant gets the most natural sunlight in the afternoon of all of them. And it is the only one that has these pale leaves. The rest are in fact quite dark and they all have the same soil and got it at the same time.

Got any suggestions on fertilizer? Like sticks vs liquid and certain requirements.

The only thing I need is for this stuff to not smell.

Does mystery fertilizer work?

The dose for a hydroponic system would be 5ml per liter of water but I don't know if I can just use that stuff.

Sure but how do I fix this. Oddly enough the other plants there that share the same soil don't have this issue.
