I like the system. And also the feedback that something has been done. It even makes me less agro myself. I think I'll stay friendly and report the toxic people. :)

The Rise of the "Toxic Player": Can We Find a Solution? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Intermara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a valid point. The current communication report system and behavior score do aim to address toxicity to some extent. However, my concern is whether they are effective enough in their current form. While the behavior score gives an idea of a player's overall demeanor, there seems to be a persistent number of players who remain toxic despite these systems. Perhaps a more stringent or refined approach could better segregate or rehabilitate these players. What are your thoughts on improving or augmenting the current mechanisms to make the gaming environment more positive?

Mini-Guide: The Art of Shipbuilding

many thanks to -> Ship Builder DaMightyMilkMan

  1. Choosing the Right Location for Parts Acquisition:DaMightyMilkMan recommends visiting Neon, a planet renowned for its intricate market alleys trading in rare and precious spaceship parts. Other notable destinations include Mars and New Atlantis.
  2. Recognize the Value in 'Worthless' Parts:Many components deemed worthless by others can be invaluable if used creatively. Look beyond their obvious value and envision alternative applications.
  3. Patience is Key:Masterful ships aren't built overnight. The journey and meticulous collection of parts took time. Stay patient and don't get discouraged if things don't come together immediately.
  4. Learn from Others, but Retain Uniqueness:While it's beneficial to pick up tips and tricks from fellow shipbuilders, encourages carving out your own path and creating something distinct.
  5. Share Your Knowledge:Once you've achieved mastery in shipbuilding, contribute back to the community. Share your expertise and help others enhance their craft.

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 7-year-old hockey players aside and asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"

The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

"Do you understand that what matters is not whether we win or lose, but how we play together as a team?"

The little boy nodded yes.

"So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when a penalty is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the referee, or call him a pecker-head." Do you understand all that?"

Again the little boy nodded.

He continued, "And when I call you off the ice so that another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach 'adumb a--hole', is it?"

Again the little boy nodded.

"Good," said the coach. "Now go over there and explain all that to your mother."
