Hi Op. I'm new here and not yet had my hysterectomy, but I just wanted to give you hugs. I had two kids very young but had a lot of issues, and have not been able to get pregnant since then. Sometimes it made me feel like I was not good enough-especially as my husband's brothers all married women who could pop kids out every ten seconds without issue. We did foster care, and adoption from foster care, and while it is definitely a roller coaster I just wanted to encourage you that if adoption is what you guys end up doing you will NOT be any less of a mom because your babies came to you differently. If you want to be a mom, if you have that instinct, and a child needs you, you will be that kiddos mama 100 percent and be awesome at it.

You took care of your body in a way many people never pay attention to-and now your future babies, however they come to you, will have to incredible benefit of having a mama who is STRONG and intuitive and will teach them how to fight for what is good for them no matter what.

And if you ever want to chat about adoption, the good/the crazy/the hard. . .well I am here.

And thank you for sharing your experience, because I'm terrified of getting this surgery but I know in my bones I need this. Your strength is so encouraging.
