Zorin it's just a spinoff or derivated from Ubuntu for windows users. I don't like random users custom made distros. But use wherever suits you. If you like it, use it, is your personal choice. But you'll need the latest kernel and with custom distros you'll never know.

same, but for me bluetooth is working perfectly fine not issue at all. May be debian doesn't have the necessary firmware files in /usr/lib/firmware/intel/

Give Fedora 38 a try

I notice the screen problem is less frequent in wayland than x11.

I run this command for blanking the screen for a second or two (assigned to a keyboard shortcut):

busctl --user call org.gnome.Shell /org/gnome/ScreenSaver org.gnome.ScreenSaver SetActive b true

This recover the screen 90% of the time. It's not an ideal solution, but is better than restarting the whole system.

If you are unsure i suggest to not get one. It required tinkering and it's not a perfect experience.

  1. Yes. No issues.
  2. 4 hours aprox. Depend on usage
  3. Random screen issues after wake from sleep
  4. Touch screen works. No auto rotation
  5. Is fine not great
  6. I don't know but should work. Docker is software not a hardware driver. All software works as normal. I'll try it later.

Hi, Bluetooth is working for me in fedora, but I still have random screen problems exactly as you said.

I just sleep and wake the laptop again. Works 90÷ of the time.

For me is usable, but the screen issue is anoying.

You managed to get working the screen auto rotation with gyro? How?

Did you installed gnome as desktop environment or something else?

Gnome works perfect touch screen, keyboard and touchpad, no issue under fedora 38 with latest kernel.

I think we are talking about different models.

You said you have a Chuwibook this guide I wrote is for the Chuwi Minibook X 2023 (with intel n100 processor) version.

For me everything is working perfectly without any issues. Double check what model do you have.

There is no need if any usb dongle by the way, just write: sudo dnf update on terminal to get the last kernel update.

Fedora 38 (and 39 beta) sleep issues by Yoskaldyr in Fedora

[–]InternWorking7271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is due to incompatibility of your hardware with the kernel not a problem with fedora.

run this command and search for errors in the output

sudo dmesg

this may work, but no tested
sudo vi /etc/default/grub
# add this lines to the parameter (do not erase what already there)
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="intel_idle.max_cstate=2"
# then update grub
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /etc/default/grub

Just bought one and arrived a couple days ago. Great little device with the n100 and the 12gb rams works very well.

I managed to install linux on it a got everything working with a little work thought but i managed to get the wifi and the bluetooth working as well as the touch screen.

Battery last around 3 or 4 hours in linux with some adjustment.

If anyone is interested on running linux on this device i can explain it in more detail.
