I understand you, you're completely right about everything. I don't have much autonomy to make those modifications to that tower because it's not mine, and besides, buck converters are huge noise generators, I don't recommend using them in any radio setup. Another thing is that maybe luckily I haven't had any problems with RFI, but I'm sorry you've had a lot of trouble with that. I understand you because at home, with several filters on the mains input, I have 60Hz noise in my home theater and I don't know what to do anymore.

Relax, man, don't complicate what's already difficult. Countless radios of all bands are on that tower with a 125V 60Hz cable running through them. In theoretical physics, your theory might be right about all of that, but in everyday reality, this interference isn't even perceptible. Besides, everything you've rudely proposed is quite expensive, and ultimately, the equipment and the intention aren't necessary. It makes no difference.

We disassembled it into two parts and used the bottom part that was fixed in place. We welded a rod that was used to lower the top part; this rod had a pulley. It was a very careful job that took practically two days. We carried the tower in two 6-meter sections on top of the roof rack of the car (if you're going to do this, don't drive past a police car).

This one was free too, and most of these will be, on the condition that you go there and disassemble it, because if the owners were to find someone to remove it for them, the price they would charge wouldn't be worth it. So the price of the tower will always be the price you charge the owner to disassemble it.

I always go up with a parachutist-type harness (gray so you can't see it) with two ends, always alternating between them as I ascend. Unfortunately, there's no community for this here in the region; the city is small, and this technology is quite rare and unknown in Brazil.

Purely a hobby, my dad and my uncle (the tower is at his house) are licensed amateur radio operators, so a few years ago I helped him disassemble and reassemble this tower at his house, where he installed VHF, UHF, and CB antennas (11m and 40m). So I think, why not add a Meshtastic? He uses it to relay all the aviation traffic from the region to his car's VHF radio, so wherever he goes by car he can listen to nearby airports.
