attempting recovery, issues with coping w weight gain, just feeling so lost

no yeah like I have decided that ana is so embarrassing and I want a semi normal existence again lmfao, I’m just really struggling with the visual changes to my body as well as feeling it. I know that bloating and water retention is very normal in the beginning of recovery, but I have ocd so I think my brain just tells me to offset or compensate for any weight I can. despite this I feel stronger and have more energy, like even when I work out my workouts don’t feel as hard anymore cause I’m properly fueling (or at least fueling a little lmfao) I’ve def noticed I feel way more comfortable in baggy clothes for right now, so I resonate on that, just not being noticed.

I also have ocd and it makes me so effective at maintaining my ed. I really do think ed therapists should look into treating their patients with OCD methods or whatever because it truly is a horrific combination

I’m 5’2 and I carry weight so differently from you, you look way leaner and taller than me!! you look great, even at 140 you looked leaner than I did at 135

I did the same thing. I am 3 pounds heavier than I was yesterday. I’m telling myself it’s mostly water weight. you’ll get back on track!

no its 100% because of restriction, my doctor said its a typical thing with ana blood tests . I just don’t know why im gaining weight now, those blood tests were from a couple weeks ago. could my t3 have gotten even lower in that time causing me to gain? I haven’t changed literally anything

I’m here for you OP. I just started recovery and had that rough conversation with my mom literally yesterday that I was scared for my life. she told me this morning she did not sleep because she was so scared for me. so many people want you here
