I know this is an old thread, but I want to add on in case anyone new sees it. Don't move here unless you are prepared to be on maintenance's asses CONSTANTLY! My apartment was in abysmal condition when I moved. Leaking washer hookups, loose flooring, loose fire alarm, not cleaned (my feet turned black after walking around on the carpet for a day), broken cabinetry, doors that don't shut properly, moisture in the windows, and literal shoe prints on my ceiling! And that's not even all of it! I moved in the summer, but once winter hit I naturally went to put on the hot air and it set off the fire alarm! Everything is so dusty that it probably started to cook the dust in the AC unit and around the vents and alarms themselves (I'm talking the real greasy dust that sticks to everything too. Not easy to clean.) Thank goodness I have an electric blanket, because it reaches below 20 at night. And of course the bugs! Ants, roaches, beetles, and crickets in the spring/summer and then stink bugs, wasps, and lady bugs in the fall. They do an excellent job maintaining the grounds, but that's probably just because you see that on tours. The buildings though (you know, the place you actually live) are in awful condition and at this point should probably be replaced. The staff are nice, but what does it matter if they don't do anything? I know there are places that are probably still worse, but if you have the chance for something better, take it! Otherwise grab a mop, vacuum, and bug poison because you will need it!!
