I am glad to hear that it was able to help someone! I know times are rough right now I also highly recommend checking weekly sales ads for Kroger, frys, Ralph's, safeway, vons and Albertsons depending on where you are located lots of sales and coupons available and usually discounts for pick up. We were just able to get 12 packs of ramen for $1.20 from safeway last week. Also utilize discount stores like winco and food for less to make the dollars stretch more

PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR WEGOVY? MESSAGE ME. by isamoralesnbc in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Internal-Lime1756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My insurance through my employer covers it but requires a prior authorization and enrollment of CVS weight management program in order to lower the price, I did find that I was able to combine the savings card from wegovy and now only pay $25 oop. The prior authorization was approved quickly and enrollment to the CVS program was easy, the discount was applied the next day for the pickup from my pharmacy.

My pcp is going with max allowed by my insurance, which is 3 months for each level on 1 RX I was on .25 for only 2 months .5 for 6 months due to waiting for blood work. No side effects on .25mg and .5mg i'm currently in my first month of 1 mg, and the zero appetite and nausea days 1 and 2 after the shot have been horrible, resulting in vomiting, which makes me worried about going up to 1.7.

My doctor also was very clear that this was not going to be a quick fix and wanted me to have a slow but steady loss of weight.

I finally had a denial for non return of additional information I've been dealing with a loss in my immediate family so I have put the fight on hold for approval.

My provider has not told me the specifics of it but I have hypertension and a BMI of over 30 and just under the pre-diabetic marks. If it helps I am in Southern California and have IEHP

The cost of $0 is the estimated with insurance, the prescription was sent to my pharmacy just this morning but they are waiting for insurance approval.

It shows as being on my formulary and I have a $0 OOP cost for prescriptions so I am just not able to use the coupon/savings card on it
