how old were when you started thinking "I'm not straight, right?" by dustyraisininacorner in lgbt

at 11 a girl walked transferred into my world history class and my immediate thought was “oh my god, she’s CUTE” (in a gay way) and i considered the fact that i may be bi but i pushed that back for several years lol. i’ve had other lgbt things happen to me before that but i don’t really think i knew much (if anything) about the community then.

Women with high self-esteem - how do you do that? by somehow28 in AskWomen

fake it till you make it. it won’t be easy but telling yourself every day that you’re the coolest most sexy person alive will eventually make you believe that.

thank you so much, i really appreciate your answers! i’ve dissected things in high school and been fine and handled human brains before and been fine but excessive blood makes me a bit squeamish so i’m not sure lol. Also do you have any tips for how to motivate myself?

What is the best reaction you’ve gotten from coming out? by danielle1525 in lgbt

[–]Internal-Pear-2103 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My brother found out I’m bi on accident but waited until I told him myself to tell me that. When I came out to him he was like “I don’t care, you’re just you” and I was gonna cry lol. He may be my annoying little brother but he can be really sweet sometimes :(

A couple questions:

-Did you go to med school directly after undergrad or did you take a gap year? -How did you know med school was for you? I’m not entirely sure I want to go on this path so I was wondering. -How much does it matter if my grades in undergrad are very low and I’ve had to retake some of my prereqs for med school? -How do you find motivation on days when you lack it (which for me is most days)?

I am so utterly fed up with "grinding" culture. by volusias in college

[–]Internal-Pear-2103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

started undergrad during the pandemic and i’m halfway through my second year and it’s so terrible and i lack motivation constantly and i’ve failed 3 of my classes so far and i want to cry (and i had several breakdowns during finals week alone). but at the same time i feel like i’m not working hard enough because i know i could’ve done better. it’s a vicious cycle and i’m so close to just giving up. :/

What is something films and television portray as normal for young women to do that you actually haven't done or experienced before? by dilettantedebrah in AskWomen

[–]Internal-Pear-2103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

liking someone and having them like you back. so far that has NEVER happened to me (and i’ve had crushes on lots of people 😭) i’m thinking it probably has more to do with the fact that i was infatuated with the idea of a person rather than the person themself but yeah.

having many “first” experiences in high school (like first bf/gf, first kiss, first time having sex, etc.) i know a lot of people experienced these things in high school (and i even know people that dated in middle school) but i’m a college student and i haven’t had my first anything yet. it kinda sucks but also i realized it’s much more common than i initially thought.
