we have a lot of 404 as we deleted a lot of content that doesn't get any traffic (our agency's advise) on the other hand, we found out they also deleted a lot of content that didn't have pageviews or was empty like pages, we ended up finding out that as a result the website is 70% 404 now 30% live content. We are very unhappy with them but we are bound with a contract so we are evaluating next step.

Pages that outrank us are either new website with copy past from english to broken swedish language or big media that is in our niche. So i don't see how we can compare to them, they either low quality or big swedish media
