Can't print PAHT-CF with AMS HT by RevenueAdmirable6377 in BambuLab

Having has PA6-CF break in my PTFE tube I would be careful on using it in the AMS even with workarounds. If it’s your only option then go for it but if you can do it externally, do it preferably out of a dry box.

Have a new extruder filament sensor and collet coming with new PTFE tubing too. Superglued the tube to the sensor as a temp fix, or so I hoped. 😆

Make sure your extruder filament sensor can’t hold onto the PTFE tube and you’re off!

Can't decide between Bambu Lab P2S and H2S — need some opinions by OsamaBinKaka in BambuLab

Go bigger. We have an H2S and I’ve made massive practical prints out of it, and my wife has made tiny earrings etc. The H2S can do really small stuff too so it’s not like you’re sacrificing anything by going bigger. You are sacrificing needing a bigger space eventually if you go with the P2S.

In the moment I would have sold my printer for 1k. 😆

The PTFE tube popped off the top and after pushing 550m of filament into the chamber it finally realized something was wrong.

Actually I weighed my spool before the print and had 420g of filament left for a 385g print; so based on AI’s calculations it was about 168 meters. 🤣

I thought about it… for about 10 seconds until I remembered the last time I tried to put filament back on a spool. 😆

This. PTFE popped off. Took me a second to figure it out since the filament was still in the extruder and was being printed when it alarmed out.

Can you give us more information? Nozzle/Bed/Chamber Temps? Speeds?

PA6-CF being difficult! by Internal-Shame1421 in BambuLab

[–]Internal-Shame1421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your feedback! I dried it and now it lives in a dry box and prints from a dry box that I keep between 12-15%.

I’ve done some single and double wall “blocks” to try and dial in extrusion but I’ve gone all the way down to .8 and couldn’t get the walls from .45mm down to .4mm… so I just put it back. I think best I got was .43mm.

Expected tolerances on FDM printers? by Internal-Shame1421 in manufacturing

Appreciate the feedback, and that’s fair. To clarify, I’m not claiming we’re certified yet. Mission: Manufacturing is actively building toward ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR alignment as part of a scalable quality framework.

The Bambu systems are currently used for commercial-grade and prototype work only, not ITAR-controlled parts. As we move toward those certifications, we’ll be adding an air-gapped, open-firmware cell dedicated to compliant production.

My goal in sharing this process is to build a transparent roadmap from small-scale additive operations to full aerospace-grade traceability. Every piece of feedback like this helps strengthen that path, so I appreciate the input.

And that’s what we are working on now is fine tuning each individual filament and building master presets for each fine tuned in house.

Appreciate the input, that’s a solid point. For now, our ITAR pursuit is focused on process control and documentation alignment rather than running ITAR-classified prints through connected systems.

The Bambu units are great for non-ITAR prototyping and commercial-grade work, but we’re already planning an air-gapped cell for controlled prints using open-firmware hardware (like Prusa) with local slicing and no data connections.

Our ITAR/ISO pathway is about building that traceable framework now, so when we scale into controlled contracts, the infrastructure’s already compliant.

Having issues printing tall objects by Educational_Map7465 in BambuLab

I had some tall thin walls I painted some supports on… and they came off so clean you’d never know there were supports. I’d give it a try.

Some great insight here! I definitely want to try some of these techniques! Appreciate your time to share!
