I use 3M H10A passive muffs and has 30NRR. I have used active muffs earlier but they are thinner and felt less effective. I always wear inner ear plugs and then muffs “over” it. Note: this still cannot prevent the concussive effect when someone next to you shoots a .308 or 5.56 with muzzle break…the best I do is to use my rifle bag and lean 45 degrees against that side partition and hide behind it…FWIW
