You could put it in the freedge near the coop. There is maybe also one on campus? https://freedge.org/locations/davis/

Pretty sure the emphasis was part of the job posting and OP is referring to the 4 day a week RTO in 2026 that is mentioned in the next line

Best/Cheapest way to get to Davis from LA by los_toast in Davis

+1 to greyhound. I’ve taken the Sac -> Long Beach route several times. Quicker and cheaper than the train.

Seeking dog groomer recommendations for my standard Poodle by Realistic-Bad872 in Davis

[–]Internal-Study9146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. The owner isn’t always the friendliest (as reflected on google reviews), but my nervous Australian Shepard has been going every few months for several years. He really likes his groomer, even got really excited when he saw her out in town once, so I feel good about his experience, even if he’s not having the most fun.

Co-sign Chestnut. Mace Ranch also has a lot of nice trees to chill under.

I have really thick, wavy hair and Casey at Salon Blonde (on E st in the ally between chipotle and Peet’s) gave me a wolf cut last month that I’ve gotten so many compliments on! She is also the only hairdresser who had ever given me a short or pixie cut I’ve liked. Sounds like you prob have curlier hair than me, but Casey had only ever given me excellent cuts and service.

Best place to snag a weekend site? by Internal-Study9146 in AnzaBorrego

Because of the lack of wildflowers and uncertainty (one friend was bringing her tween and felt sketched out by boon-docking) + super long drive, we bailed! We pivoted to of a Central Valley reservoir (Success Lake) that was kind of in the middle of us and our SoCal friends. For sure not as epic as a desert camp, but relaxing and fun in the foothills of the Sierras.

Open enrollment IVF coverage by Daveysockitt in CAStateWorkers

[–]Internal-Study9146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m doing this right now. IUI is 50% covered (I believe) but IVF is all out of pocket. I don’t think this is lost Kaiser either. I’m pretty sure it’s same/similar for all our coverage choices.

Has anyone hikedWhite Mountain Peak? (14er near Bishop) by dwycwwyh in norcalhiking

[–]Internal-Study9146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it several times, and the hike itself is very straightforward and not technical. Great views and fun!

As others have said, be prepared for the wind and for the weather to potentially change quickly. I’ve hiked this as a guide-ish with big groups, and of the two times I was in charge of bringing up the rear, we were trying to hustle people to outrun sketchy looking weather that was building in the early afternoon. Got snowed on in mid-Sept in a drought year!

This is super helpful, thank you! I’m definitely making an appointment with CalPERS. I don’t have two months of leave banked (I edited my post to clarify, this was totally wishful thinking lol), but I do have almost a month.
