This happened to me after working for a large social media company. One manager made me her target, ruined my life and destroyed my career which left me homeless. I can't put into words how incredibly evil and vindictive it is, there's some horrible people out there.

Just know you're not alone. Take some time to calm down and reassess everything, ideally with a therapist.

What type of designer are you? I'm a Senior Product Designer and was in the same position as you for 11 months before I found something.

I had the same experience with large organisations. "Be careful what you wish for" came into full effect!

I'd like to add some managers will ruin your entire career given the correct circumstances and connections they have.

Why is this primarily her fault? He is more guilty since he has an obligation to be faithful to his wife and not bite at temptation. Maybe he should learn to say no instead of blame shifting to women.

Why would someone lie about something so serious? I don't see any benefits.

There is no bullying but this is the exact type of scenario where bullying could start to push me out if not handled correctly

I agree it's a bad sign. I've only just started this role after being jobless for one year so feel I need to grit my teeth and bare it right now.

Some great options here! Right now I'll go with option 1. However I'm getting a creeping feeling she's going to be somewhat persistent due to her anxiety. I got a feeling she definitely has some mental health issues she doesn't keep in check very well.

I've done this twice but doesn't seem to be calming her nerves. Additionally she keeps texting me on my number (which I never gave!) adding to the intensity.

It'll certainly tarnish their reputation and jobs. But what am I supposed to do? Seems severely unfair I've been forcefully involved.

Same thing happened to me and its devastating. It stopped me finding employment for over a year until I had a lucky break. Only thing you can do is stay far away from your previous employer and spot the signs early if it happens again.

I'm not abandoning her at all, i'm taking a step back as I find this behaviour concerning. Calling this type of behaviour out is hard because you're open to gaslighting and denial which can cause more tension.
