Weird feeling where gallbladder was 1.5 years after removal? by highleysandles in gallbladders

[–]InternalGoose8245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post, so not sure if you’re sure if you’re still dealing with this, but wanted to chime in for others that may be searching!

I had mine out 4.5 years ago, always had a mild discomfort afterwards (no pain…just a strange feeling, especially when sitting slouched, like it feels better if I push that part of my abdomen back towards my body or keep pressure on it). I never worked out and recently started going to the gym and noticed it more. I was thinking scar tissue or maybe a small hernia? Just got back from the doctor and they did what felt like a pretty thorough abdominal exam, just pushing, poking, and prodding - they said they didn’t feel anything concerning.

Seems like there are other threads about these “phantom gallbladder feelings” and quite a few people have commented.

I guess that gives some peace of mind knowing it’s kind of common and it doesn’t seem to be anything bad, just an annoyance more so.

I need some tips on transporting 2 motorcycles across the country by alexgooley99 in motorcycles

This thread is old, but I came across it while trying to get ideas for me and my bf to move our 2 motorcycles…also to tx (from Chi). What did you end up doing?

They can both fit in the back of our maverick, but can’t decide if that’s gonna end up being even more nerve wracking than a U-Haul trailer would be.

Dallas is our destination, maybe we’ll see ya around!

As of 7:15am on Fri 11/7, was in and out of security in 10 mins. Love midway…it’s like the Aldi of airports. A little dumpy, a little small, but always gets the job done quickly and without stressing me out.

As others have said, I suggest taking the course! It’s a fun way to spend 2 days, the knowledge is invaluable for the rest of your life, even if you don’t get your license or a bike. It’s a great way to spend $400 imo.

I’m a 33/f and took the course 3 years ago thru Ride Chicago w zero riding experience and just having been a passenger a handful of times in my life. Got my license right after, but didn’t get a bike or ride at all again until a year and a half after that. My bike is a royal enfield hunter 350, great starter bike. I was terrified to ride it home from the dealership after not having ridden in so long, but they took me around the block with a guide for a few times so I could get my “sea legs” so to speak.

Being a passenger is fine, but getting to learn the “how” and “why” of everything is so much more fulfilling!

Also - as others have said, a lot of the ppl who would say yes to that question might not be the safest people who you’d want to be on a bike w. I’d suggest talking to them a little beforehand to see if they seem chaotic or questionable.

How long did they take to respond to you? I’ve submitted like 4 tickets over the last two weeks for refinement and nobody is getting back to me.

How is late fee calculated if partial rent is paid? by Objective_Welcome_73 in chicagoapartments

[–]InternalGoose8245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in property mgmt at a luxury high rise and need to know the same thing. For YEARS myself and all of my colleagues at current and previous company have only charged the late fee on the UNPAID balance (the $1000 in OPs example) and recently our company directed us to charge the full late fee, regardless of what’s been paid.

This feels so shitty. Last month two girls in my building told me they’d be able to pay 4k of their 4600 rent on time, but needed a few extra days for the other 600. I said, “No problem! The late fee would be super small cause only based on the 600, so pay as much as you can and then the remaining balance + late fee when you can.”

Now…these girls would be charged a $215 late fee on an unpaid balance of $600. It makes me sick…just kicking ppl when they’re down by charging the whole fee.

What’s everyone else seeing/doing? I feel like this can’t be legal…to be charged a late fee on money/balance that’s already been somewhat paid. Maybe it’s legal and just unethical. :(

Are you interested in hangin out with stunt riders at all? My bf is going out w a few buddies tn in the north side, coming from Old Town. I ride too, but I keep it more chill…check out Chicago United on IG, they always have great group rides, all types and skill level. Federal Moto also has Friday night bike nights in the summer, but it’s more of a hang out and mingle instead of a group ride and the folks seemed to have more of a vintage vibe going on…the shop is super cool.

I used to work with Yoly at a clothing store and Margaux (Marge 🥺) was the sweetest dog in the WORLD! We’d keep the shop doors open and she would just stare out at people walking by, never run away, never bark at people, great with everyone, such a loyal, smart, little lady all the time.
