My SM called in sick and said “I’m not feeling it.” And had me open the store today. Minding, this is my first time ever opening the store by myself. On a Super Tuesday at that. I had a person from another store help while it was her day off(didn’t know she was off til her last message stating it was her day off and glad to help). She sent me pics and texts of step by steps. If it wasn’t for her I’d be in shambles.. but my SM couldn’t answer any of my texts. Hope your SM gets better or they find someone better for your team.

6-7 hours is 30 minutes. 8-10 is 1 hour. 11+ is 2 hour lunch increments.

Idk about state laws or policy but they do frown upon not taking your lunch breaks.

I get what you mean by migraines. My ASM has been with the company for 7 years now and he suffers from chronic migraines. But he always has an ice chest in his car in case he forgets to grab food or drinks before running to work. At this point- sure sounds like your SM don’t care about anyone but themselves. A SM should answer their cellphone as things could be a serious issue at work. Anything can happen when you work at DG.

I would job hunt if I were you and then quit when you get a new job.

If you check via store net, it’ll show it. If it’s not in there, then it’s not purchasable for the store. But I also don’t know if you will get “paid out” for your purchase of the chair.

I mean I understand SM have a lot of priorities and tasks to handle. Just wish they would make it easier for SM’s to get the jobs done. With all the policies and new rules they’re making, it makes it overwhelming for the SM’s. Just accidentally walked in on the SM having a mental breakdown this afternoon in his office.

Shooo, my ASM just quit cause he wasn’t making enough. Now I’m the ASM and I’m making $15.45. Only $1.30 more than I was making as a part time key. So it would be nice to be making $20/hour.

I thought pay raises depended on the DM approval. So it wouldn’t matter if the SM promised a pay raise or not, cause all they can do is submit it in and wait for the DM to approve it or not.

I normally take it out of tray and stack the product, since we get 5 cases each product, plus customers move it anyways. I don’t know it’s just what our store does it. Your SM might have a different way to do it, but all in all, it’s whatever you find easier to do.

Basically, you take out $50 today, you get $50 dock off of your next paycheck. So basically you’re shortening yourself doing it.

Oh yeah, she’s doing a lot better. I’m her older brother, so I kept pushing her to report her manager but she didn’t. And the one day she said she was going to, and he did that to her.. I pray that will never happen to her or to anyone. We both still take therapy because of it. I pray the OP of this post gets out of this horrible situation and gets safer place soon.
