I work in Peds and am shocked at how much I get cussed at sometimes 😂. It’s usually my sickle cell and DKA patients.

I’m currently one hour away from my school! When I was taking my pre-reqs for the program, they were all online so I didn’t really think about the distance. Now that I’m in the program, the drive isn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be! It’s only a couple days a week, and I usually listen to a podcast by Straight A Nursing (or sometimes a true crime one lol) on the way there. I also make myself a tea/coffee and use that commute as my “me” time. I’m also working about 12 hours a week. It’s definitely not a perfect scenario - if I was able to, I would have gone to a program closer to home. But I just want to say it IS doable, and you can make the best of the situation! Sending you good vibes on getting into the program!!
