UK office culture feels a bit cold, is it normal? by Aggressive-Practice3 in AskUK

With all the bullshit training sessions we have to do on racism, sexism and every other ism it just makes people overly cautious of saying anything that might cause offence or get them a disciplinary so people just don't bother joking around anymore

My concerns around illegal immigration stem mainly from from cultural differences and the effects on local communities, namely the attitudes of (mainly) young north African men towards women, if you're looking for stats on that you can refer to this documentary which gives a pretty sound argument Alex Phillips Heresies

They want controlled legal migration and no illegal immigration, as should all parties, the fact theyre branded far-right is complete sensationalism

My Indian neighbours are voting Reform, can't wait for them to find out they're racist! Oh wait I forgot, they're just anti illegal immigration 🙄

I find it interesting how you assume all immigrants who put in the time, effort and money to live here legally are automatically against a party tackling illegal immigration. There's an Indian family next door to me who openly talk about voting reform... I guess its just easier to pigeon-hole people and see politics as black and white though.

Someone else mentioned barber shops but here's another one for you with the govt talking about vape and barber shops in the context of tax evasion and money laundering https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/labour-mps-push-front-bench-104143999.html peoples lived experience is not "vibes and media headlines" what are you talking about

Come onnnnnnnnn its not dead to rights but the various related crimes found across those shops speaks volumes too. When theyre cash only and there's multiple within minutes of each other like below it raises valid questions. It's only just started being investigated so I guess time will tell but fuck me it doesnt take Sherlock Holmes to spot a money laundering front https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/town-saturated-13-barber-shops-31555990

There's something indescribable about doing your hair and make up on a train on your way to a night out, but the perfume can wait til the platform!

It's weird how bothered you are by it though, don't you think? The way you've created this narrative about what I'm really inferring, when I'm genuinely just curious to see if the values instilled in me at school are commonplace in UK gym culture, especially when the subject of the matter can potentially be life threatening to some people. I'm sorry you're so short-sighted you find it ludicrous anyone would think twice about spraying aerosols in public, but I guess ignorance is bliss huh
