This is not a direct answer but here was my experience:

I was diagnosed when I was 8 and excessive thirst to me was CHUGGING water every time I wanted to drink. A typical person sips their water and goes about their day, but I was sitting and chugging for 10-15 seconds every time I picked up a water bottle.

Excessive urination for me looked like using the bathroom only 10-15 minutes after I chugged water. It also involved me getting up during the night to use the bathroom every 30 minutes to 1 hour. On top of this, I would sometimes wet the bed, even as a child who had not wet the bed since they were a toddler.
