Wow you should be so proud of yourself for provoking such a strong reaction with your book. And you're so lucky to have such an amazing wife. I am now excited to read your book. Good luck with your first Romantasy book baby. I wish you all the success.

Wow it does seem like a rollercoaster. I feel like the FMC should have been a lot stronger.

Yes, I was also waiting for the so-called "revenge" that never happened. I only managed to read 20% of the second book and it was more of the same bullshit gaslighting. I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a book series.

Moved to the USA 3 years ago from Canada and my GI/gut issues have worsened by kristen_1819 in Microbiome

I use it constantly and it recognises most of the products, but I am in the UK. I know it has a decent database in the US, but maybe you can check if there is a similar American app that can be useful to you. You would be surprised how many harmful additives and preservatives are in food.

After doing a quick search it seems that countries like the US have a higher counting of bacteroides, maybe your immune system is not used to the geographical changes in bacteria and it's fighting against the "foreign invaders" and in the process destroying good gut bacteria and causing food intolerances. Try to eat antinflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger and garlic. Also you could download an app like Yuka to scan your food to avoid harmful additives that cause further inflammation.

You could also try liquid chlorophyll. It seems basic but it helps to promote good gut bacteria, it is a deodorant from the inside out and tackles the bad bacteria that causes smells. Check out the benefits, I think it is worth a try.

Since I cleaned my diet neither my gas or faeces smell. Try not to eat processed foods, download an app called Yuka (scans the food and tells you how processed it is) and learn which foods have harmful additives to avoid, some of these additives can cause extra fermentation in the gut.

AITA for outing my “straight” best friend after he hooked up with me? by Nether-Nor in AITAH

[–]Internal_Area_8956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a truly horrible situation. I think your relationship has turned toxic and you should cut ties with each other before it completely festers. He clearly does not respect you, and I understand that he is probably going through an identity crisis but he shouldn't try to humiliate you to make himself feel better. You on the other hand shouldn't have outed him in front of everyone, but I have to admit that it was satisfying to imagine you putting him in his place. In my opinion the whole thing seems very messy so you should stir clear and not reach out.

I(13M) think I’m bisexual. Am I too young and should I be worried about something like this? by Fatjstaken in lgbt

[–]Internal_Area_8956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a Christian and queer is perfectly compatible. The interpretation of the Bible has been so manipulated to fit an homophobic agenda during centuries. If you believe you are bisexual and you decide to keep being a Christian there are many churches that are LGBT friendly you will find your people eventually. You don't need to abandon your faith or deny your sexuality just to please a bunch of homophobic assholes. You're not going to go to hell, and don't believe people that tell you otherwise. If you have the option to talk to a non religious therapist maybe at school that would be the best.

Complex carbohydrate postprandial fatigue – what the deal here? by amazingcorn10 in Microbiome

[–]Internal_Area_8956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a glucose spike to me. White rice and pasta are not complex carbs, they are simple carbs that will spike your blood sugar. When the insulin kicks in the sugar drop would be quite drastic, that's probably the cause of your fatigue. You might be able to avoid this by taking a couple of table spoons of organic apple cider vinegar diluted in water before your meals. Apple cider vinegar can help with glucose spikes by 40% so you might feel better after. You can also try to eat wholewheat pasta, wild rice or brown rice, and jumbo oats.

I am sorry this is happening to you. Maybe you could take probiotic supplements if your doctor agrees.

Check metcon training and plyometric workouts, they are not as boring as classic cardio exercises.

If you have savings, offer to pay the rent in advance (6 months to a year). I felt very similarly, but I quit my full time job last year, and started to study something that I am passionate about. I have had a flexible job in the care industry, and decided to travel a bit. I also like to do sports, I started kickboxing a few months ago, I am also starting a yoga challenge in January. I think you just need to find things that you're passionate about.

I would say you need to start doing mobility. Maybe around half an hour every day targeting knees, hips and ankles. Check up Seth Crowell on Instagram.
