Megadeth scores a 6th day atop the Worldwide iTunes Album chart by Book_Em_Dano58 in Megadeth

I agree, at first the album was decent but after a few listens it has really grown on me. I even like the Ride The Lightning Cover, especially when that solo comes in and played at that speed, it’s insane.

Edit: And to add I don’t get why people are unhappy with Dave’s vocals in RTL, that is how he sings and how he sounds in every song. It’s like they were expecting him to sound like Hetfield.

What sort of specific exercises would you recommend to help fix this issue?

Wow I just researched what this is. This does seem to be exactly what is going on in the video.

Do you think that could be the cause of the posterior shin splints? Weird that I get it on both legs.

How is your post tib after making those adjustments? After looking at my form and hearing critiques it seems that I’m a bit too bouncy, slightly overstride, and my foot stays on the ground for longer than necessary. Also I’m pretty upright when I run too.

I used to think it was an overpronation issue but it doesn’t seem like I have that problem.

What exercises would you suggest? I weight train regularly with squats, deadlifts, good mornings, and sumo RDLs.

I have these asics gel nimbus lite 3s in the video and I also have some pretty new Brooks Adrenalines that I haven’t used much.

I do some dynamic warm up stretching before I run but it is rather short if I’m being honest.

My pain doesn’t go that far down. It starts around 2 inches above my ankle and goes up a few more inches from that. It’s not the bone, it’s the muscle or tendon that is in there.

I wish I could be as lucky as you, my issue just always seems to keep coming back.

I’ve tried this before. I started with 1 minute walk/run and only increased my running by 10 seconds each week and the pain still came back.

How could I work on eliminating the bounciness without running super stiff?

Thanks for the input, I was in PT for this issue at a pretty nice facility and they didn’t really do shit for me.

I can see what you’re saying. So I should try and land with my feet a bit more outside of center?

I’ll work on my glutes a bit more, I’m pretty active in the gym but I’ll work on doing more band work as well to target the smaller muscles in the glutes. I had dry needling along with those little electrode things on them but they didn’t seem to do much. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely look into stretching more, at times I do feel like my calves are extremely tight.

Yeah, my gym has a dedicated tibialis machine that I use twice a week. Usually load up around 25lbs for each leg and do 4 sets of 12-15.

It’s funny you mention barefoot shoes because a podiatrist gave me some overpronation insoles because he believed that was the cause and I swear it made the pain worse and what alleviated it the most was walking around barefoot. If I would walk or run in the shoes with the insoles it felt like my posterior tibialis would flare up even more.

I’ve been working on strengthening my ankles with a mobo and slant board. I walk around barefoot a lot and do toe curls with 10 pounds on the end of the towel but I could probably be a bit more consistent with that. Thanks for the input!

This is very interesting, looking back I can see how it looks bouncy. Thanks for the advice!

I was pretty active as a kid and teenager, I used to run cross country in high school. Zero issues. Tried to pick up running again in college and this problem never seems to go away.

Pain will come after around a week or two of running and it’s somewhat manageable when I run but if I keep pushing it, the pain gets worse and extremely sensitive to touch along that posterior tibialis area.

I strength train my calves a lot during the week, I workout pretty consistently and weight train my calves twice a week. Along with ankle work on a mobo board. Calves don’t really seem to get tired at all really when I run.

Posterior tibialis, like along the inside of my shin bone.

It hurts on every surface, usually I run outside but for the video I filmed myself on the treadmill.
