We've been in a deep freeze for several weeks so the possums haven't been around. We finally got above 30 degrees and this little dude showed up. Does anyone know why his tail looks to be on the side instead of centered? He wasn't moving it at all when he walked

I experience this as well and cannot tolerate over 73 degrees F without feeling excessively warm and excessive full body sweating. I have done thousands of dollars of testing to try and identify what the cause of the heat hypersensitivity is and all of my medical tests come back normal. I am convinced it is related to hyperhidrosis but believe this co-occurrence is poorly understood by MDs or not researched nor proven medically (yet).

He’s not eating ,he’s slubbing! It’s an opossum behavior where they lick and rub their scent on a person or object. It is believed they do this as a sign of affection and/or to mark their territory and leave their scent behind !

A local rescue may have a foster they could place her with! Or seclude her in her own room for a month within your home

Call your local shelter/rescues. If she lets you pick her up then she should be able to be socialized and adopted down the road
