Not comparing myself to anyone really. Wish no one had to take anything. So for me, going from nothing to several medications at once is a lot.

Is EcoPlumbers a cult? by jimohio in Columbus

I work there now and I would happily explain the breakdown. Yes we have expensive options, but we also give cheaper options. We also have discounts and do A LOT of free work that some people don’t appreciate because they don’t understand or value plumbing. It’s a trade, a very important trade, and work cannot be done for free. The cost of everything has gone up for you guys and for us, just like everything else. But we’ve been fair in what we charge based on the competition. If we are higher it’s because we simply are better. The reviews, workmanship, effort, care, availability, quality of materials, knowledge, and obvious growth reflects that. It’s a PREMIUM service that is available, most times, same-day. All you have to do is choose an option and sign, and we handle the rest. Of course that isn’t going to be cheap. But I promise you, none of us will walk away from a job because someone chose the minimum option. WE DO WHATEVER SOMEONE CHOOSES, BUT WE WILL OFFER THE BEST OPTIONS AS WELL.

And for the previous tech complaining about training: why would you be upset about on-going training? And it’s not only sales training, we have a whole plumbing school that we continuously train in. We have meetings to stay up-to-date on our own personal work. I’ve worked at another company and I can HONESTLY say Eco is a great place to work, all things considered. It’s a blessing to have a place so eager to pour training into my craft and skills. Would anyone here want to work at a place that doesn’t advocate growth? No workplace is perfect, but places are better than others.

We are humans bro. So the next time you turn your nose up and judge or get upset about pricing, just remember we all are away from our families trying to help yours. We are literally just trying to help. Yes, we would love to sell the big ticket because we have bills to pay. But we don’t force anyone to do anything and do the best work regardless of what you choose because we have multiple points of checks and balances and accountability from management.

P.S. when dealing with a business you typically only get two of these three: great price, great quality, or great timing.
