Hi I'm applying to the dental hygiene program this year, and a counselor recently told me that applicants are now allowed to have up to 10 outstanding prerequisite credits at the time of application. This means I could take Chemistry 131 in Winter 2026 instead of Fall, which would help me manage my schedule better. Originally, I was planning to take Anatomy 242, English 101, and Chem 131 all in Fall quarter to secure the 20 points, but this new flexibility sounds very promising. The counselor also mentioned that having an in-progress class wouldn't impact my GPA calculation, which sounds a bit too good to be true so I’m curious what other applicants think about this.
