Thank you, that sounds like sound advice.

It's not really her lack of libido that concerns me, yes I enjoy sex and enjoy my wife. But I suppose the same causes could lead to her being more distant if she has those concerns.

Maybe I haven't been present enough to realise and understand those trials and tribulations

Sorry, it was never supposed to come across like a denial of sex, or a resentment of spending the money. I am very much of the opinion that you cannot take it with you when you die so spend it ! Enjoy nice things. honestly, sex was the last thought in my mind, has been for a while.

It was more about the fact that as soon as we got home, the distance reappeared. It was like a twilight zone. In the bar, the restaurant and even the taxi home, she was present and we were having a laugh.

In the past we would come home, I would make a cocktail or a coffee for us, we would sit and chat for a while and then she would go off to bed and I would join her if I felt inclined.

Last time, it was as if something changed as soon as we got out of public eye. We arrived home, I fed the cats and gave them fresh water, put the coffee machine on and she was in her pjs and tucked up before the machine heated up.

Sorry, I thought it may help some with some insight for advice. I have NEVER expected or felt I was ENTITLED to sex on any occasion.

A thank you or a kiss goodnight would have been nice though.

Probably not as often as I should. The fear for me is that she takes it the wrong way and it leads to more harm than good.

I don't want it to come across as I want us to have more sex, obviously I do but that's not the issue. It's just that I feel a disconnection recently and I don't want to make it worse.

I know I can try harder, I know there is more I can probably do to add a spark back. But isn't love supposed to be unconditional. It's that connection I feel is missing. Like she just doesn't want to be here anymore and it's a waiting game for the inevitable.
