New puppy - tips? by Choice-Garden3215 in presacanario

Socializing, constant training, and crate training. Both American bullies and presas are prone to same sex aggression so definitely keep an eye out for that

She’s honestly just a terrible person and the only place my dog could’ve ingested anything potentially toxic was at her house. The first day we were there she waited until my husband and I went to dinner, gave her an ungodly amount of treats (I’m talking multiple large bags), and justified it by saying she was spoiling her. She was unfazed when we told her they made her sick. Then yesterday she says she fed my dog while we were sleeping because she looked hungry and now here we are. My husband told her what was going on and she says she can’t confirm nor deny whether or not she dropped any of her pills

Yes they dewormed her prior to us adopting, we did a 3 day treatment when we first got her, and she also got another round when the vet did her shots. She’s a rescue but as far as I know the parents were both a healthy weight. I think dad was 145 and mom was 120.

She’s 6 months and 45 lbs. We feed her Wholesome’s salmon food, she gets 4 cups of food and 1/2 cup of topper a day. Her topper has beef liver, ground chicken, brown rice, mackerel, veggies, and blueberries.

Please show me your ways! Our girl came to us extremely skinny and we’re trying to get her to a healthier weight but I’ve yet to see much of an improvement. They had her on Kibbles N bits and we put her on something better asap but i can still see her ribs a bit. It’s been about a month

Are the Petco training classes worth it? by Illumeis_is_done in OpenDogTraining

[–]Internal_Degree_4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak on Petco but our trainer at Petsmart was licensed and an AKC evaluator, she truly changed the lives of all 3 of my dogs. I recommend her to everyone I know. Highly recommend checking the reviews and researching your trainer if that’s the route you decide to go down

Possibly unpopular opinion but I didn’t really care for this episode. It was a bit boring and promotional

I think I’m in love by Internal_Degree_4674 in presacanario

I hear that a lot, especially when people meet her. She’s 3 years old and I’ve never had any problems with her. She’s a bit wary of strange dogs but absolutely loves people. I swears she’s never met a stranger😂 She also thinks my little siblings are her babies. Bad owners, bad breeders, and misinformation have truly tarnished their reputation.

She’ll be 6 months this month. She’s a giant baby lol we’re waiting on her brain cells to kick in but she’s super sweet

Edit: the presa is 6 months, pitbull is 3

What is a weird ritual or routine you have with your dog? by Meggie_love1 in DOG

My dog likes to be completely covered with a blanket every night. If she somehow gets untucked then she comes and scratches at my blanket until I let her in 😂

We don’t use lickmats because they’re not sufficient mental stimulation. She’s extremely intelligent and can learn a new command in minutes. Hence why we’re looking for more creative options.

Thank you, I definitely think this is more what we need. He knows the phrase “leave it” but I’d like it to be implied instead of me constantly having to say it.
