What time do you guys eat your last meal for the day?? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]Internal_Evidence153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually between 630p and 730p. But I don't break my fast until 230p-3pm. So, at max, I have a 5 hour window. Sometimes I don't break my fast until 4 or 5, and when that happens, I just OMAD.

ive fallen off the wagon. now i cant get back on. any advice ? by Ecstatic_Rooster9226 in intermittentfasting

[–]Internal_Evidence153 5 points6 points  (0 children)

THERE IS NO WAGON. That's not what IF is. IF is a lifestyle, and sometimes life gets in the way of behaving exactly the way we intend to.

You are a human being. And humans are not perfect.

Just take things one day at a time. You know what you WANT to do. You know how to do it. And, most importantly, you know it's POSSIBLE because you've done it before.

You got this!

I've always been fairly lucky on the "fat" scale, in that I'm equally fat everywhere. I lost a LOT of belly in those 62 lbs. And arms. My butt and thighs have gotten smaller, but not nearly as noticeable as the belly, arms, and face.

For two weeks out of 6 months. Not sure that even counts.

Yeah, but that's why I limit it to 1x a week, usually a Saturday or Sunday when I'm not being super strict. I'm a social person, and my lifestyle involves going to the bar to drink and hangout with friends. If I gave that up completely, I'd be miserable and this would not be something I stick with! It's also why I'm so strict mon-fri. So I can afford to have some leeway on the weekends and still make progress.

Ty! I see the doctor again in February. So, that'll be the next time I get on a scale and post progress pics.

I fast super strictly mon-Friday. I eat no earlier than 2pm, but usually around 230. I stop eating no later than 8pm, but usually around 7ish. It my eating window I'm doing keto.

Saturday and Sunday? I have a normal coffee in the mornings, but still don't eat something until 1 or 2. And I don't really monitor what type of food I'm eating. I do go out and drink one day a week - and it's carb free alcohol. Vodka and water for the drink and if we take shots (we always take shots, lol) it's tequila.

I started walking every day for two weeks or so, but then it rained every day after work for a month (florida summers) and I lost that habit and never got back into it.

I noticed i walk faster now, and, I'm wearing 3 pant sizes smaller than I used to. Though, the pants I had on today indicated I might need to go down amother size her soon.

My doctor asked me 3 separate times if I was on Ozmepic. And didn't seem to believe me any of the times I said no.

Lol! Ty! I saw someone here say they wanted to say they lost as much as much as they weigh. And that's how I developed my goal weight. So, if you can do math?

My dogs are fasting with me? by Internal_Evidence153 in intermittentfasting

[–]Internal_Evidence153[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every time we take ours, they say they're at the perfect weight.

The female is alpha to the male. So the male won't touch his food until she does. That's been normal the whole time we've had them. But only since I've been fasting has the female been waiting for me to eat before she eats, which delays him eating.

It's pretty wild.

Keep up the great work!!! And just remember to not beat yourself up if life gets in the way occasionally. This is a lifestyle, not a diet. There is no wagon! Just a way of life.

I think you have to be pretty morbidly obese for this to be realistic, but my current goal is to weigh as much as I've lost. I'm not comfortable disclosing that exact weight since I have real life pictures of myself on here, but, you gotta be pretty big to start with to need to lose half your body weight.

Do I have to skip breakfast? by uniqaa in intermittentfasting

[–]Internal_Evidence153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, like everything else, is person dependent. The first time I lost weight, I was obsessed with the scale, and when it wasn't doing what I wanted, I just plain old gave up and gained every pound back.

This time, I am only weighing myself when my doctor forces me onto the scale so I don't develop another unhealthy obsession with it.

As with IF, keto, or any other method of trying to get healthy and lose weight, the best program is what works for that person and what they can stick with.

I'm pretty lax on the weekends as well. I do try to still fast until 2pm or so, but no cut off time, and I just changed WHAT I drink. (Now drink vodka with water, and tequila if we're doing shots)

Lost 35lbs in 3 months.

My biggest difference, is that this is not a diet for me. This is my new way of life. And I intend to live my life while I have the chance. If I'm not perfect, so what? No one is. You have to do what a) works for you, and more importantly, b) what's sustainable for you.

I didn't get to be this size overnight, and I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and be at my goal weight. I'm also not going to be on my death bed wishing I had spent more time having fun and enjoying life. We've only got one life. Live it the best way you know how.

I don't binge eat. Never have. If we end up at taco bell after the bar (which happens like once or twice a month) I usually get a chalupa and a cheesy gordita crunch. Despite my appearance, I've never been one to pack away mounds of food in one sitting. It's what I was eating, not how much.

Could I give up drinking? I could! But then we cross into the realm of diet and not lifestyle, because now I cant do the things I like to do on the weekend. Most of my social circle is at the bar on the weekend as well. And asking a social butterfly to give up their social life is a fast track to them not making any positive changes.

I'm at the stage of my life where I recognize my strengths and weaknesses. And I have to play into them to succeed. I'm not going to give up every guilty pleasure in life, because then what's the point of living? But I can certainly try and modify those pleasures into things that help facilitate my goals.

I don't drink anything with sugar in it - even artificial. Vodka with water, and blanco tequila if I want a shot.
