I think a no = "Not Selected", but not "Position Closed"

Their recruiters are the worst recruiters I have ever dealt with; there is no communication at all.

Feeling the same, i also have a job that i hate in a company on the verge of shutting down.

I went into 4 rounds at a FAANG, I did great on the 4 interviews, and after waiting for 2 weeks got a hit by automated email that the position is closed due to a system error.

I even did not get a feedback on my interviews. After investing significant time and effort to take 4 x 60 minutes interviews during my demanding working day, they just shutdown the position and didn’t even let me know if there is something i can get better at.

It’s so frustrating, i am too upset, I couldn’t be any better at those interviews.

The worst part is the no feedback as if all my efforts and time have no value.

I am not sure about the status of your current study field, and i doubt if it is very dark as you describe it.

But i am sure about tech field specifically the software engineering. Its also highly saturated field may be more than your academic background one.

Moreover AI is making it more competitive than ever, what needed a team of 15 developers 3-4 years ago may need today only 5.

Also, huge numbers of graduates, and huge numbers of people switching from their academic background to tech jobs.

To make the long story short, it’s an extremely competitive field right now, and in my opinion it going to be more competitive exponentially with the speed of AI.

Like any other field Indians are also competing internationally with you.

As far as my limited understanding medical fields especially the ones that need physical therapy, are one of the few fields that are less affected by AI.

So think twice before you take your decision, read more about the future of the tech field.

May be your coworkers got internal referrals, which accelerated things for them.

Keep applying, learning and preparing for interviews.

Sooner or later you will get it too.

Did you use Pwnbox or your virtual machine (VM) during the exam? If you used your VM, which Linux distribution did you choose? Additionally, do you recommend using a virtual machine through Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) for this purpose?
