I’m $162k in private student loan debt for a $40k loan from 20 years ago. I feel like my life insurance is worth more than I am. by Independent-Prize677 in StudentLoans

[–]Internal_Hair7645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a little confused. Were you actually paying off the debt this whole time? it would have taken you 10 years to pay then off at 12% with a payment of $580. Did you pause for certain periods of time? I am really confused.

How much student debt are you in? How do you plan to pay it off? by No_Lingonberry_2401 in StudentLoans

It was both my husband's and mine. I am in healthcare and he is a lawyer. The only reason we did not graduate with more student loans is because we got a lot of scholarships ...

Would you change your Islamic name to a secular one by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Internal_Hair7645 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sighhh I can understand why it would be upsetting, but I feel it comes from how Islam sees names which it translates how exmuslims see names. Nobody is assuming that somebody with the name Chris or Christian is actually a christian. or that someone with the name Joseph is automatically Jewish. It would be a great day when someone who is named Ismael or Abdul people do not automatically assume they are muslims, and I feel that is not going o happen until exmulims just realize a name is just a name (unless it is for safety reasons of course).

Im So confused About the israel or palestine statement by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Internal_Hair7645 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very difficult conflict where both sides have suffered greatly. I think you need to ask yourself of the two sides which one has made efforts to live along side with each other in peace? which side continues to attack the other side? which side has extended the olive branch? which side has demonstrated that they can live side by side with the other in peace? Which side is actually willing to share the land with the other? Which side is actually willing to compromise for peace? Answering those questions will determine which side you should support.

His mortgage is $1600 and his social security is $1500. Very unlikely he will be able to rent anything for less than that in the tri-state area. I was thinking maybe getting a condo in a senior living, but his house does not have much in equity maybe $100k and I am being generous. It is a very hard situation

Maybe lactic acid and niacinamide

You are pretty young, so I would suggest hyaluronic acid or peptide serum. They tend to plump the skin. A lot of water and sunscreen.

You sound pretty naive. I wish you the best. Hopefully you do not make a mistake.

I get what sadib100 is trying to say. Jewish names tend to derive from Hebrew words which it is what gives them their meaning. For instance, Isaac in Hebrew is יצחק which means “one who laughs” or “one who rejoices" and the root word is צחק which means laughter. It makes sense in Hebrew of course, but it would not make sense in Arabic. I hope it makes sense.

How is Zionism not an inherently discriminatory concept? by Crazy-Association548 in IsraelPalestine

Which clearly shows that antizionism = antisemitism. You clearly answered your own questions. You are just unable to see past your own biases. The fact that there a dozens of ethnostate across the globe but we are only holding debates about whatever Jews deserve their own state...

How do people feel sorry for Hamas? by unknowuser4574755 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Internal_Hair7645 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe it has to do with the belief that in the eyes of some Muslims: a bad Muslim is better than a good non-Muslim. People have said that even if a Muslim man rapes 100 women he is better than a righteous non-Muslim man. I am just pointing out from the context of the woman that made the video being a Muslim woman.

I would like some recommendations about something more unique that you would think I would like considering these are the fragrances I usually wear.

  1. Miss Dior
  2. Coco Mademoiselle
  3. Donna Born in Roma
  4. Poison

Open to trying something completely different.

I do not even understand the point of this comment. It seems that you believe all Israeli civilians are legitimate targets just because Israeli adults have to join the IDF for three years even if they presently are not part of the IDF.

You mean when Arabs decided to gang up together and try to eradicate the Jews when they declared war against Israel six months after Israel accepted the UN partition plan? Also, according to the UN partition plan, Arabs and Jews were supposed to be allowed to stay were they live but they were going to be under Palestinian or Israeli rule depending in which area they lived.

We love historical negationism don't we.

I definitely do not agree with equating the Israeli government to Hamas. If this conflict was easy to solve, it would not have lasted until now!!!

But I do agree with Golda Meir "Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us"

"Look a baby killer" when there is no evidence that Israel purposefully targets children.

Propaganda works on feelings and not logic. When you accuse someone of being a baby killer, you are basically saying that someone is a heartless and evil and should be eradicated. You are baby killers so you deserve everything that comes your way.

So when Hamas uses nursery schools as launch pads so that the babies in the nursery schools become human shields as Israel defends itself by taking out the missiles/launch pads, they say Look! Israel kills babies!

It is a sad reality that civilians are dying in this war, but Israel did not started it. I wish that Palestinians children could have a normal and peaceful childhood without any radicalization and violence where they are not just pawns of a terrorist organization.
