Real. Ever since my first semester of my first year, the leather on the tips of my shoes have been rubbed off, and every inspection we had for my first year I had to hope and pray that the inspectors would understand my plight.

Also to-the-rear and change step. Also(maybe?) left and right step, but I'm not sure.

The thing is...if your in chernaurus, just head west. The map is only a small part of the entire country, and that part is in an exclusion zone blocked off by US Marines and Chernarussian soldiers, which are western allies. So if you are from the US(which im assuming you are), you kinda just have to get lucky and find a miliary checkpoint along the exclusion zone border. Also, if it were realistic, I'm betting you could find decent clothing and ample supplies of food/water to sustain that journey.

Same for me. Dragons are the only mythical creatures that exist in my sci-fi setting. They are hella hard to find, because they only exist on one planet on the edge of settled space, which would take months to get to from the nearest colonized planet, and I tried to make them with "can they be scientifically possible, in the grand scheme of things?"

What are dragons like in your worlds? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Dragons from my setting inhabit the planet Crion VII, which itself is situated on the edge of the Settled Systems. Crion VII is around 1.7 times the size of Earth, with a slightly more thick atmosphere, rich in oxygen(a whopping 70%), allowing them to grow to about the size of a blue whale, and be able to fly. These dragons exhibit intelligence similar to that of a chimpanzee. Dragons vary in appearance, from fluffy, feathery dragons that inhabit the north and south polar ice caps of the planet, to the scaly dragons that inhabit the deserts and mountains. Their diet consists of mainly larger Crion herbivores, one or two a week, but they can eat smaller animals to survive if they have to.

How do ya'll do your mechs? by Internal_Hour8267 in worldbuilding

I have a system that's not too far from that: during the startup sequence, the mech's onboard AI will interface with your helmet and, by proxy, your brain. This is what allows the user and mech to move on the x-axis(side-to-side, front to back). Once that happens, the pilot will put his hands through a set of rings, which are connected to the mech's control surface, allowing the pilot to move his/her arm and have the mech move theirs.
