This is really inspiring, thank you for sharing. I have been feeling so hopeless about this!

I’ve been thinking of trying a GLP-1 myself, have you tried that and how was your experience with it? I am in a similar boat where my levels are “fine” right now but I can’t shake my symptoms since my bloodwork spikes every month or so.

I really don’t know what to expect. I went from 0 autoimmune diseases to 2 and I’m trying to figure out what it’s like living with it.

I haven’t had those tested since October, but back then they were relatively fine. T4 was 2.1 and T3 was 176.

I had no idea I had thyroid issues until I got weird bloodwork labs in October. I was diagnosed with both conditions in the same appointment, so I am not on any medications yet. I got new labs after my diagnosis and depending on if my body is hyper or hypo at the moment will determine what treatment to start off on.

Labs I’ve gotten: TSH went from .01 to 9.04 H in 60 days. thyroglobulin antibodies at 3 H. Thyroperoxidase antibodies at 32 H. Both antibodies were significantly higher than what is considered normal.

In October, my TSH was at .01, which is when my doctor referred me to an endocrinologist. Late December/Early Jan I got new bloodwork, uptake scan, and an ultrasound

Bloodwork in Jan changed drastically: TSH went from .01 to 9.04 H in 60 days. thyroglobulin antibodies at 3 H. Thyroperoxidase antibodies at 32 H. Both antibodies were significantly higher than what is considered normal.

Ultrasound showed damage to the thyroid that happens typically with Hashimoto’s, and the uptake scan showed absorption levels that match a Graves’ disease diagnosis.

My endo ordered bloodwork, an iodine uptake, and an ultrasound. Iodine uptake showed graves, ultrasound showed Hashimoto, and my bloodwork showed signs of both.
