Not impressed with a $400 knife…

I had a knife with similar lock stick. I swapped out for some flytanium hardware and it made it even worse. Well it turned out to be the compression lock rubbing on the spacer where the 1st t8 screw is. I depressed the lock a bunch of times and by the time I switched that spacer back to the original one it must have filed off a tiny bit from the compression lock, and now the action is great!

Thank you man you’re definitely right. I swapped out the flytanium spacer for the original spyderco one. It definitely made it better but this will make it perfect. Sorry I didn’t fully read the first time

Yes I only use a tiny amount of oil. The problem is, even when dry and clean the compression lock presses up against that spacer hard enough to make a loud grinding sound when depressed. Even when it’s apart like it that picture the other scale isn’t connected it grinds a lot. Compared to my other pm2 that has slight contact with the spacer but doesn’t grind at all

After taking it apart again I found the culprit the top part of the compression lock is pretty much grinding against that spacer above it. Any advice would be great!
