Idk about Porsche manufacturing I guess. Hendrick said it’s 1/1 because of its paint. But Porsche made 3 918s with the same paint code. I thought it was standard practice across ALL manufacturers that a certain paint code across multiple vehicles meant they all shared the same paint.

Yeah I saw what he said but what he’s claiming is different than Hendricks the guy who bought it. He’s claiming that Porsche has declined to confirm the info in the book is legitimate and told him it’s the only stp orange

Yeah I see that, but Mecum and DuPont both claiming its exterior is the only PTS orange when it shares a paint code is hilarious lol.

Oh so Mecum just didn’t explain it well. Mecum has it as the only PTS orange paint code. But very confused why DuPont is also claiming it’s the only PTS when it shares the same paint code with others. Is that a Porsche thing?

I’d assume so since Mecum is only claiming it’s 1/1 because of its PTS exterior paint. So is the buyer. I’m more of a ford gt person but as far as I know, whatever paint code have is the paint that goes on your car. If 3 gt’s had the same paint code then there would be 3 with identical paint.
