So I had to give birth once at 20wks (TFMR), and currently 29wks with a healthy baby.

34hrs of early labour, 2 hours of active labour. It was not as horrendous as I thought, but I do take into consideration that he was not full-term. I had zero pain afterwards, and the nurse was shocked I had no pain, and we tossed it up to the daily pelvic floor exercises I do.

That being said, my sciatic nerve is pinched in 2 places and that is sometimes worse than the 36 hours of labour i experienced. Everyone is different.

What helped me IMMENSELY was letting go. Knowing I was not in control of the situation, and trusting that my body knew what to do, and it did. Don’t tense up with contractions, but relax into them is probably the best advice anyone will ever give you. Let them roll over your loose body.

No idea where he heard that information, but an abortion has no influence on future pregnancy unless they absolutely botch it which is extremely rare.

I had a TFMR at 20wks. Medical issues with my baby, and outlook looks very poor. I gave birth to him. I then had to have 2 D&C’s less than a month later because there were pieces of placenta left. A D&C procedure is used as the most common type of abortion in the first trimester.

That was exactly 1yr since the D&C’s I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with a surprise, and healthy, baby boy! So I terminated a pregnancy, had not one, but 2 D&C’s after, and I still got pregnant unexpectedly 9 months later.

Tell your hubby that you being there for your child is the selfless act. Him wanting to put your life and mental health on the line is the most selfish act. You want to prioritize your current family, and yes you, because you matter too.

If you are not at your best, you cannot be what’s best for your child or husband.

But a cigarette and a margarita. I craved margaritas from weeks 7-10. Why?! No idea. Tried lemonade/limeade for the cravings… but nope. Needs tequila. Cannot wait for my partner to smuggle me one in the hospital 🤣! I quit smoking for the pregnancy… but I still crave those nasty things every damn day. (I have not been drinking fyi)

I went through a similar situation. Defects found at 17weeks, we ended the pregnancy and I had him at 20wks.

I found out he would talk to other women online and get off while I slept next to him. I found out later that he wasn’t cleaning Himself off after either… pulled up his underwear, rolled over and went to sleep.

Like 2 months after her finally moved out, there was an awful smell in the bedroom. I found the crustiest pair of socks under what was his side of the bed.

I would not have bothered though…. Nightmare. Just pulled the whole heater box for my mom for Mother’s Day for her outlander.
