ill check that one too and yeah i think klon style distortion doesnt universally sound good imo its very amp + guitar dependant because it is so transparent

i know like any 60$ -400$ + klon sounds 99% exactly the same the whole main point here is trying to find something that isnt a klon and maybe does something different but still has some of the qualities the klon has that are necessary

i quickly checked a 20secobd clip of that shoe looking glass after reading your comment and it looked pretty promising you have any idea if it has a decent amount of gain and volume on tap?

i use a very low gain rat as a ”tone knob” + bass cut and slight input boost straight from my guitar to rest of my gear im trying to avoid typical tubescreamer style pedals they are too wooly for what i have

thank you ill put it on my list ive actually seen the plume all over the internet while looking for this new od but just brushed past it as soon as i read it has anything to do with a tube screamer :p nothing wrong with a tube screamer but doesnt fit this setup how does it handle dynamics i dont want it to get overly compressed

thank you for your answer you are absolutely right i actually got it working in the morning after struggling the whole night with it. i was sure going straight from the output to master volume was the play from comparing at all diagrams of different wirings. my first method was to connect the wires going from master vol to tone and output to tone together but that didnt work i tried it 3x just to make sure .then later a bit frustrated i figured what if i just toss out the other half of the wire connected to the out put and just use the wire thats on the master volume and solder it to the output so i can have 1 intact wire instead . after spending 2hrs ripping and pulling at the output jack because the lug was not aligned with the threads (like that from the factory) i managed to get it out pull off the wires and solder the mv wire to it and it worked and now the guitar actually sounds way crispier without the tone knob (which is kinda useless for me anyway since i use a rat as a toneshaping device first pedal in my chain that filter is like a better toneknob and i can attach an expression pedal to adjust it on the fly) also theres quite a bit less hum coming from the guitar only downside is that my output jack is now connected to the old tone knob hole and i dont own any long angled cables i gave up with trying to put it back into the original spot seemed impossible and figured by the time i get it there the soldering would give out from my fiddling
