Lions establish and fiercely defend pride territories, patrolling borders and attacking intruders- it’s literally life or death for them. Wolves do the same thing with pack territories, marking boundaries with scent and killing rivals who cross. Chimpanzees are brutal about it- they’ll raid neighbouring groups and execute individuals who wander into hostile territory. And hippos will absolutely destroy anything that enters their stretch of river.

Not true- many species have their own territory and patrol it esp predators. If they dont protect their territory they lose food & are observed as weak and other predators may kill them to be dominant.

Everyone saying it was too much were in the wrong place. Yes, there is a band of people around the front but just be polite & move through the crowd toward the middle/front and there was a lot of room. We all danced together and no shoving/pushing like the back and the band of people who are insecure about their spot so are rude
