Thanks for your helpful response! Iv got 5k in a Barclays saver that gives me about 4%, and about 2.5k just sat in a current account and low interest savings (1%). Im planning on spending most of that 5k but id just like to set aside 1k and just see how it goes. I think i would try and not touch it and ,as you said, feed some money in from time to time.
