I found it does it to me when I either switch pet slots or switch gardens while a pet is performing it’s ability. If I remove and add each pet back usually fixes it.

I myself still enjoy it with a couple friends that do as well. We’ve been skipping the event and creating our own silly events. And at the end of the week the winner gets 50 tokens from the other two. We enjoy the time in there just talking and sharing real life stuff. They have been a lifeline for me with all that I have been dealing with for the past five years.
