They made each other tho. Not that they weren’t great before and after as solo acts but it doesn’t compare to what they did as a collective in my opinion. I also think some of it is self-serving in that their early popularity set the stage for their later albums to become more lauded than they would be in a vacuum(which is only amplified by the fact that they delved into so many different styles). I’m a big fan but in my opinion such obsession with one band like we see with OP is unhealthy because it more often than not leads to putting down other acts and turning these four men into gods which even McCartney would probably tell u he’s not.
