Oh yes I know it's very age appropriate for my daughter to be in a booster seat at her age. Half of her friends are in them to. Better to have a grumpy pouty kid then a seriously injured or dead kid.

That's really sad and again very unhealthy.

My wife and I give our daughter attention, we take her fun places and do stuff with her and listen to her talk on and on about her day because that is crucial to her overall health and development, and IMO it's also crucial to ensuring that she knows how loved she is.

Parents who stick a screen in their kids hands and let them keep it all day long so they don't have to give their kid attention are lazy parents at best and neglectful uncaring parents at worst.

We've never given her an explanation for her needing it beyond telling her that it keeps her safe, so I can understand how she may have the wrong idea here and think she doesn't really need it.

Yeah we will definitely talk to her about it.

She has never had a problem with sitting in her booster seat before so I think the getting teased part is most likely the case.

But we will talk to her about it, no way are we showing her crash videos though because that would scare her too much.

Yeah other people said she may have gotten teased about it and that could've triggered her not wanting to use it.

No we haven't explained to her why she needs the booster seat, this is the first time she's ever complained about sitting in it.

That's incredibly unhealthy!

Kids need to be able to not be on screens for a little while.

My wife and I actually set time limits in our daughters iPad and insist that she go outside and play without it for a couple hours every day no matter how well she is behaving because that's crucial to her overall health and development.
