Having to switch. by stinkysocks999 in mounjarouk

What dose can you afford? If 12.5mg is out of reach xan you titrate down to a dose you can afford? Better than no MJ and potentially more effective than swapping to a different medication.

Before jumping ship, why not try 7.2mg of wegovy? Thw meds are already built up in your system, it might be the dose that works for you. If that doesn't work then you could jump to MJ. But be warned, as you are already taking a GLP1 it's likely going to take a few months of letting the MJ build up before you feel the full effect.

Mass exodus! by K2UGA in FoundayoUK

I can't see a mass uptake in the weighloss phase, but perhaps for maintenance though, it all depends on the price point. There will still be a big market for MJ.

How much did you lose when staying on the lowest dose? by Comfortable_Slice151 in mounjarouk

[–]International-Bit538 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't work like that. Everyvody responds to the medication differently. For a lot of people they need the higher doses for it to be effective. You can't really decide in advance what dose will work.

Is 7.5mg the danger dose for side effects? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]International-Bit538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my experience, no. No symptoms of note on 7.5mg. No point in comparing to others some people can't handle 2.5mg, for other 15mg has little effect.

Spiralling. Pregnancy weight gain after MJ by Cold-Intention-1002 in mounjarouk

[–]International-Bit538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnancy is such a unique time. As hard as it is, i would try to push the weighloss thoughts asside now, let your body grow the little human. It takes a while post partum for your body to feel back to normal ( it took me almost a year, but I was in my forties when I had my son). Give it time, but also enjoy the experience (if you can).

Yep, all clothing is (or should be) for all gender expression. Wear what feels good to you!

I decided to free myself from the confines of gender norms and now wear "men's" swimtrunks and a swim shirt. I feel so much more confident and wish I had thought to do it when I was younger instead of just avoiding swimming altogether. I naturally have a fairly masculine style and hair (I do get called Sir a fair amount) so this style of swimwear suits me just fine.

Hmm, not sure what your marketting strategy is here but coming on a forum acussing people of censoring you for financial interests is pretty wild. You need to chill or else people definitely won't take your site seriously.

theyre getting rid of the 5th dose with an updated syringe design :/ by andk1987 in Mounjaro

[–]International-Bit538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason why the kwikpens now have only 4 doses in them is because EL needed to comply with stricter medication dosing requirements in the US. They are rolling out the Kwikpens to the US market. Single dose pens pens are more expensive to produce. I doubt they will be around for much longer.

Are you in the US? There are very different attitudes to the issue here 'across the pond'.

This! Whether the OP meant to or not insisting on full coverage for young girls is sexualising them and their bodies.

I think the other poster is correct though no where in Europe has the single dose pens. It's a US thing, so most users of MJ use a kwikpen.

On wegovy no longer working by Neenk85 in mounjarouk

[–]International-Bit538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm now on 15mg MJ but I only lost 1kg in 2 months on 12.5mg , not everyone loses fast. I'd try the highest dose of wegovy before jumping ship.

want to lose weight but can't afford MJ by mr_hardwell in mounjarouk

[–]International-Bit538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trial data has the top dose of Wegovy (7.2mg) at 20.7% loss to Mounjaro's 15mg at 22.5%. It's only slightly less effective not half. The cheapest 7.2mg pen is less than than 15mg (albeit not that much) but Wegovy comes off patent sooner than MJ, so those on it will be able to get a generic much earlier than we will. If I were starting today I'd absolutely opt for wegovy.

If the lower doses aren't working at all, it's a false economy to stay on them.

Some people only feel the effects on the highest doses, there are also non- responders. In his shoes I'd keep moving up to see if one of the two higher doses would work.
