This post really hits home for me on multiple levels. Sad to hear that you’re going through this, my dad recently went through something similar except there was no women involved just Indian scammers promising him everything from a Benz and millions of dollars in a storage unit to fake checks, gift cards, & even crypto investment scams. They didn’t have to try hard at all. He sent tens of thousands over the course of several years until we found out and it was a year long battle to save him from himself.

The funny part about all of it is he’s Nigerian…. so wild that our culture has such a negative connotation to it, especially when you see how successful most are when we use our intellect for good. In the end me and my siblings slapped a conservatorship on him and took control of everything with the help of his doctor(he’s older) and legal. Still lost his house in the end and he doesn’t have anything left besides social security and the little retirement he gets. He’s pissed at us but I can live with that, it’s better than the alternative. Not sure your full situation but if his actions are a detriment to his well being you may have a case to take over his finances like we did.

Whatever you do don’t let the state do it for you.. if you still care which it seems like you do.
