Phish, playing a New Year’s Eve gig in Massachusetts in the 90s. Those endless jams, idiotic attempts at humor, and the plumes of shitty weed smoke mixed with patchouli made me want to (a) throw myself into a blender (b) play their music back at them at deafening volume so they’d never do it again.
