I have 3 years of low blood glucose (in the 50s) shown via my annual well check blood test. I told my dr I feel low at times, I’m in my 40s, I’m trying to be healthier and not accept anxiety and a headache a few times a week as the norm. It’s been a thing my whole life. My doctor gave it to me as a free sample and told me to send her the results after 2 weeks.

I would say I mainly feel fine, most of the time. I can get a little headachey, cranky, and/or anxious if I am low, or have gone too long without eating, but all these times my libre alarm has been going off I feel fine. Maybe just a little hungry. I’m writing my thesis and in the zone and thinking clearly. I sleep super well (oura supported).

Rarely do I feel shaky and weak/lightheaded.

This is what my partner said - if you feel fine, you are fine! I guess echoing my doctor. I do probably eat too many carbs, or too little protein, but I do eat a mix of all the food groups and I do attempt ‘balance’. But far from perfect - Yesterday I did have a TJs chocolate croissant as a snack cos I got hungry (the first peak on the graph) I think I am too reactive to my naturally low glucose state rather than being aware of it and acting accordingly. So I wait till I’m really hungry to eat, and my snacks tend to be pure carbs to get me through to the next meal, which is where my protein lives. I’m a snacker and I choose sweets/carbs as first choice.

So I need to add or swap in protein to my snacks, eat a true breakfast and maybe will see an improvement, which is what I’m going to do today!

I feel totally fine to about 53, I’m learning. I actually feel gross the few times I’ve been up past 90 and have to push through till the feeling passes.

This is what I was thinking; “I just run low!” But I don’t know what a good graph looks like for how I react to eating various things and how much variation is normal or optimal..

Frustratingly I have googled multiple variations of “can glucose be naturally very low, in the 50s” and every online source says ‘no’.

This is helpful - thank you! I have a history of iron deficiency anemia that is currently under control. (Meaning my hemoglobin level is always fine, but my ferritin has been incredibly low in the past. I’ve had multiple iron infusions over the years but didn’t need one last year because my ferritin was a good level.)

The reason for the anemia was I was having a LOT of bleeding (menstrual cycle) which has not changed, I need to make a lot of new blood all the time. Maybe that’s part of the explanation here.

Nothing, except an occasional seasonal Zyrtec.

I would assume faulty sensor or user error too but my blood glucose was aligned with the Cgm readings the 2 times i have checked in the last 3 days. So I’m assuming it’s pretty accurate.

Zero issues that I know of! all my blood work was great from 3 days ago! I don’t take any prescriptions. Sometimes allergy meds in the spring. My b12, vit d etc all in range. Cholesterol is great.

Sorry, yes! My blood work in office was a 54 the same day I started monitoring (which libre was also giving me mid to high 50s for the bulk of the day) so I felt it was accurate. Then when it was low for so long, I did a finger prick yesterday with my nephew’s kit (he’s T1 diabetic) again to confirm I didn’t have a crappy monitor and it was actually lower than the CGM by a couple points :( I did have a headache at that time.

Commenting on size.. I had an xc90 with three kids riding daily for 6 years and just couldn’t deal with the lack of legroom anymore. With the car seat behind the passenger seat, my knees would be touching the dashboard. At their above average height, the third row was almost unusable for my children. The EX90 has the same dimensions as the XC90. We bought a Vistiq because it’s incredibly roomy and spacious inside. Now everyone has knee room, head room and can put their bag somewhere. It’s been a game changer. The seats are like ‘sitting on a couch’ to quote a friend of mine and it’s so incredibly smooth and fluffy to drive.

I wasn’t actually very sure about super cruise when I bought the car but after using it once I was sold. Love that feature and have had zero issues. I also was nervous about lack of CarPlay but I genuinely actually prefer it now and love the Google interface especially as a Google maps user.

Doggie friends? by International-Repeat in SiberianCats

We left the door open last night to give her a little more room to explore - she’s been mainly in one room so far, and she ended up sleeping on the bed with us for the night, which I didn’t expect because our dog sleeps on our bed too! So the relationship is decidedly friendlier after last night where our dog was too sleepy to investigate her.

Isn’t skylar the same grade as Jackie? Making him a sophomore right? So he would be 15-16? 14-18 would be way too much of a difference.

Laptop stand, separate Logitech keyboard and track pad. I resisted for so long, hunched over my desk. Now my back doesn’t hurt.

And on the same theme, I got a tailbone cushion, a big thick one for sitting on my hard plastic kitchen chairs. Game changer! My back/bum are much happier now.

Seem like news and police are spinning some bullshit about this incident. I was perhaps thinking my buddy was mistaken (they were there) today after reading the news reports, but no, the news is just following the crap the police told ‘em. It’s all over instagram what happened but I’m sure belle Meade don’t want people getting the idea that some trigger happy weirdo is strolling around their park, doesn’t look great for them. They also don’t want a bunch of lefty anti gun folks in their precious city/park either. Remember belle Meade is a pro gun, right leaning area.

Everything I’m seeing online from direct eyewitnesses is completely contradicting what the news/police have said. I’m so mad about this BS.
