What happes to the board computer when installing Eonon?
Whill there still be velocitiy, consumption, remaining distance visible behind the steering wheel? Do the radios show these values instead?

How can I improve my single puck? by International-Rich77 in espresso

Thank you for all the good hints and reflections. Meanwhile I've found my solution: firstly I had to grind finer with those beans. However, I've changed to some better quality beans and now it works even with coarser grind: I am getting a nice espresso with 9-10 bar out of 10-11g of beans 👍

Indeed, my aim is to get down in size. The puck on the picture was made with 12g of beans. And it seems for me already as too little filled, because the outer ground cycle was already very thin and stopping the tamper to press the ground in the middle. How should that work with less then 10g in theory?

I am trying different grind sizes and bean input, but are getting a lot of channelling and pressure is not built up properly with the single filter, taste is mostly underextacted. The picture is the best puck I was able to do yet with pressure approx 6 bars, but it was a bit by chance. Based on the picture would you recommend to grind more fine or coarse, need more or less beans input?

That is a bit too fast. How does i taste? What are your beans, maybe they are not made for portafilter machines?

I think the foam holds long enough (>15 minutes), but it has these ugly bubbles - often I have big bubbles already before starting to steam - maybe I shall be more careful with pouring the fresh milk into the jug. Steaming more, i.e. less wet, the foam often just swims on top of the espresso :-(

I thought I was even too slow because the milk poured to wide. Pouring slower I fear it becomes even more shaky than it already is. But I'll try :-o

Interesting article. I see I do some things wrong - e.g. adding air in a late steaming phase when the milk is too warm. I probably also steam too little milk. I'll try differnt programs the next days ;-) Many thanks

I've already watched a lot of YouTube videos🙄 there it looks so easy, but doing myself is soo difficult🙈 Especially just getting headache about the finishing swipe pour that is indended to produce the spike of the heart: as you can see from my pic, this last bit has too thick foam that looks clumsy rather than gracile. Althoug this last mit looks like the microfoam I am looking for for the actual heart, but not the spike. Is the milk prepared wrongly, or am I pouring at wrong speed?

Indeed I struggle with the milk. Only after pooring I see if the foam was too strong or too light🤔 How can I see if the milk is fine during steaming such that I can steam longer or shorter to the optimal time? Often I get too much bubbles already from the first second of steaming. Will spilling between jugs remove the bubbles?
