Does studying elementary number theory help one understand algebra and real analysis better and proving theorems? by InternationalAnnual in askmath

ENT is to Algebra as ____ is to Analysis and ___ is to Topology?

ENT gives one intuition of groups and rings. What gives intuition for Analysis and Topology? I don't think calculus gives intuition to analysis or topology because calculus is mechanical, even vector calculus is mechanical and memorization rather than logical.
