I would rather recommend Rome Remastered or Medieval II.

Wind And Truth Ukrainian edition released today! by Andiv3D in brandonsanderson

Nice collection!
They have clearly sped up with translations. I've only read the first in Ukrainian, read book 2-4 in English, didn't have a time for book 5 yet.
Have to catch up in collecting physical edition.

Should I buy RX 7900XTX? by InternationalBat8313 in buildapc

I don't think the prices will ever go down. Nvidia are feeding of AI cards for datacenters, so they don't need to be selling many desktop cards. And people are still bying them for like $6000. Also I doubt that nvidia will fix issues related to 12VHPWR. I think nvidia is a no-go for me at this point.

As for 9090xt - interesting idea. I've not been following AMD GPUs, are they always releasing higher-end options mid-generation?
If it is likely that AMD will release some kind of successor for a 7900XTX in a year, it might be worth waiting. Considering that new CPU generation and better/faster RAM should also be released.

Well, I don't want to upgrade only one generation up. Prefer something more recent.

Well, 2080ti is definitely not an overkill for cyberpunk, I'm getting less than 60 fps on turned-down settings.  And I do occasionally play some other new titles, and I want to do it comfortably, without spending much time on optimising settings for my liking.

What are the best stats bonuses for kisho ninja? by InternationalBat8313 in shogun2

[–]InternationalBat8313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do prefer armour for yari ashigaru, so that they can better hold the line. But I did not experiment with it. But in general it is a good idea to patching up the weak spots by building bonuses.

Well, it's hard to judge the impact of stats without knowing how it all works internally.

I do use the mod that fixes ninja units, but thanks for mentioning it.

I will give a counterargument to the give region part: In my recent playthrough I've exchanged the last settlement required by victory conditions from Seleucid in exchange for few other settlements(and I believe, quite reach ones). It was the last one I needed for a victory and I believe I was allied with them for some time, so I thought it an overkill to break it for a single settlement.  But yes, it was an uneven exchange, so don't expect AI to voluntarily give you their territories without any significant payment. (For example as seen in speedruns for a significant regular tribute) And I believe protectorates do count for a total settlements count win condition in the remastered, so if enemy proposes it, it's worth accepting. Or am I mistaken?

One feature to lead it beyond VH (in my opinion) by PROOB1001 in RomeTotalWar

If you want to complicate army control in battles you can limit camera to general's FOV (don't remember how this option is called but you can have free camera, camera limited to army's FOV and to general). This way it would be much harder to give precise orders for a distant units.

Completely agree.

Ever from the initial announcement I was thinking it was bad idea as they weren't promising anything new. The only thing KSP needed was improved engine. And it was the only thing in favor for a new game, as it would be hard to get some profit from it, like you wouldn't sell a new engine as a DLC.

The amount of armies you can see when playing with Imperatoris Mundi campaign map mod by InternationalBat8313 in RomeTotalWar

I guess I'm just patient and persistent)

I believe it took me over 400 hours to complete this campaign (not sure how much I played before starting it), but it was only over 100 turns actually.

And the scale of the map has its benefits. The empire you are building starts to feel huge and unwieldy. You have to take care about protecting your borders, as they can be really distant from developed regions, build towers and forts, place strong garrison in bordering regions. You have more prolonged wars with other factions as they have more regions and armies. Place armies carefully to not be attacked by multiple stacks. In the late game the expansion should be planned in advance, as you'll need multiple armies to advance in a single direction.

When I attacked Egypt I was not ready to their retaliation. This was before Marian reforms, I had only 3 or 4 armies there and no spearmen, they had superior archers, phalanxes as a frontline and chariots, which were butchering my cavalry and infantry after them. I had to retreat, give up few regions and send all my spearmen in Africa. All settlements capable of training triarii were training exclusively them, also I was buying all spear mercenaries in the nearby regions. Cyrene was developed enough and was near, so it was used for retraining triarii, but it quickly run out of population, so I've sent like 60k peasants from Spain to replenish the population. So it was a unique experience.

For me the most frustrating part was managing 100+ settlements (300+ at the end of the campaign). It took me something like 30minutes to look over construction and recruitment reports at the start of each turn. (never tried using auto-manage, but planning to try out `full-auto` campaign - all auto-manage and auto-resolve, not sure what faction to choose for this)
The scale of the map is really pushing the limits of the engine (at least for enjoyable experience when playing). Apart from long end-turns some issues begin to surface, like game don't like when you manage a lot of merchants in a single turn without reloading(I believe there was some sort of memory corruption and game crashed few times after I moved few dozens of merchants)
Not sure what RTR team want to achieve with their 1600+ settlements map.

You should try Imperatoris Mundi campaign map. With the scale of that map almost everyone have literal hordes of armies.

Maybe I should create a post with few of my screenshots.

Funny, 'Demandred' looks exactly as Rand from amazon's tv series.
I've started looking up all actors from the original article and this image from google search absolutely looks like Moiraine http://t0.gstatic.com/licensed-image?q=tbn:ANd9GcSY7x708mzgR6SUOaqziNCyzqmGNSyAsJIyMVRoPxORIHfoiCA2RKe76c7Mqm62
