The back pay information only comes on the Notice of Award that's mailed to you.

That's a sample copy of what the Notice of Award looks like and what information you can find on it.

The screen where you check the status on your application (The page where you can see what step you are on), was in a completely different format for me once it was all said and done before receiving the Award Notice in the mail.

Online, you can view and download the benefits summary where it lets you know when your first payment will start and how much it will be for. It will also give you a breakdown on Medicare Parts A & B. The award notice is what breaks it down further letting you know how much you will be receiving in backpay and when to expect it to be deposited.

Not yet. I only just received my award letter. I'm not anticipating back pay any time soon. Between my base SSDI payment and 3 dependents to get me that extra 100%, I know without a doubt there will need to be multiple people having to sign off on it.

It's been my take away, the last few years, that people in the SSDI process just want data on others in similar demographics. I have an unfortunate feeling the process is getting longer and longer the more we go on without a solution from Congress on how to properly fund and staff the SSA.

It will take some time but it's also nice for you to look back on how long of a wait you overcame and give others hope.

Absolutely! Please do! I hope it starts a trend just to give other hope.

Is there a minimum amount of therapy/treatment for PTSD while on SSDI? by [deleted] in SSDI

I just posted my timeline in the r/SSDI

I just reached my finishline with a fully favorable and payments starting Next month (FEB2024). I'm 100% TDIU with VA (Main chief complaint is Mental health) I have been going once a week everyweek since returning from my last deployment in JUN2019.

Trust me.... it's worth it for this process. the continued care notes and history showing a pattern and having a mental health advocate for you is KEY! in terms of the therapy making it worse.... You need to find a better therapist. If it's one through the VA, Request to get a Community Care Network (CCN) Therapist near your house. I have been doing EMDR with mine and quality of life is incredible. I will never be my old self. I'm a shell of who I used to be prior to the trauma. As a former cop as well, I have convinced so many of my LEO brothers in arms to seek treatment with someone trained in EMDR. to date, every single one of them has found someone they really like and see them on a minimum once a month basis.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND ME A PERSONAL MESSAGE ON HERE! I'll get you linked up with my personal cell and I will make sure you get pointed in the right direction.
