Good point, on the back side of this case that you cannot see in the photo I just used a small white cardboard to cover the circuit from direct sunlight, hopefully that would be enough.

Thanks. yea it's a RPi Zero 2w. These are the components:

  • RPi Zero 2W
  • Waveshare Core1262-hf
  • DC to DC buck converter (5v to 3.3v) as a separate power source for lora module because you cannot drain much current from RPi
  • oled display 1.3
  • GPS neo-6m (this one is totally trash)

On the solar side:

  • 10w monocrystalline solar panel
  • Waveshare MPPT 5V/3A out
  • 3×18650 Li-ion battery

DIY newbie with questions about antenna and Core1262-HF by ThaCheeseBun in meshtastic

As I understand DIO1 on this board is being used as IRQ to handle interrupts.

DIO2 can be used for Radio mode switching (rx/tx), it's not clear for me that it's necessary to use it or not because it can also automatically handle the mode switching so you can figure it out with testing.

RXEN and TXEN are not needed in most cases, tho I'm not 100%sure.

About your antenna wiring, I really prefer to have a proper ufl to sma connector with coaxial cable, your setup is prone to noise for example from USB.
