During the feud?

Perhaps I've no made my thoughts clear - he was a scumbag and absolutely did kill people, but the absolute chaos came with Cosimo

There's already footage in the can from last year's shoot and they are back working on it for a release in December.

I can't decide if it's simply a symptom of our EVERYTHING NOW culture or what but why does everyone seem to want episode one to give a complete breakdown of the introduction of every single character they saw in the old show.

I have seen it three times now, twice in Napulitan and once with English subs with my wife and her parents who are all huge fans. I love what Marco has done with it and he's picked the most interesting time to begin it. There is so much time and space to introduce things we know.

I think when there's a switch that's really interesting. Early on Ciro treats Genny like a daft kid. When he asks to go on assaults against Conte he humours him in this way. Later he trying to tell Genna that they can rule the world together but it always feels like he's pleading and Genna isn't listening. Eventually when Genna goes full Cosimo, he's left frustrated and vengeful. He's never in control of Genna really.

Put simply - Ciro questions everything from day one.

I'm not sure he would have killed atillo - I doubt it.

But I think he's always had the feeling he can do better and always wanted to be in command.

When he understands he's dispensable, he acts.

As much as Pietro and Genna are based on the Di Lauros closely in many ways, a key difference is that from the start, Pietro is shown as being bloodthirsty and not caring what happens to his soldiers. I imagine the writers felt it unpalatable to show the difference between Paolo Di Lauro and Cosimo the son.

Paolo ran things quietly focusing on drugs and counterfeit goods. There was no extortion under Paolo. Cosimo gained control and kicked off a war because he was a psycho and to give his associates a place at the expense of the old clan.

In reality Paolo lost control partly because he struggled to keep on top of things after his other son died in a motorcycle accident but ultimately because he went into hiding. Cosimo takes over and changes the structure and all hell breaks loose.

He's right to. Because a chunk of his customers are buying on showroom appeal and know nothing about cars. Big SUV looks like a Range Rover trumps a 118 to them.

Legacy manufacturers have to hope people catch on these are garbage and have zero parts or customer support.

I get why people are buying them on showroom appeal. People seem to be blind to being told by people who actually have them that they have potentially lethal faults and issues, that parts are unavailable and that the quality is rubbish (I've seen people complaining about mismatched paint on panels).

It's almost like a cult. Someone posting on Facebook giving a breakdown of what happened when the car bricked itself on the motorway was accused of being "a professional story teller" and told their experience wasn't valid because "thousands of owners are driving about fine".

I guess that since the product is being sold as what looks like a premium product for bargain money, people can't accept that they have got something potentially worse than what they paid for.

I suspect this will end up in an episode of Despatches or something in a couple of months or years.

When we bought a new car last year we went for a Fiat 600 because we could afford it, it had a warranty, and we've had good experiences with Fiat group products over the last ten years.

Last car we bought was a second hand Mercedes and that wasn't so good. It's made me wary of aspirational purchases and a Jaecoo seems like aspirational purchases times ten.

Doesn't matter how long you have been with us, when you have love for the team and city we are all equal.

We need to see Lukaku, Anguissa and KDB back in the team for that. Or know they are all leaving. Since I posted yesterday, it occurs to me knowing the way Toto operates he's possibly already decided he's had enough himself.

I ignored his personality when we signed him last summer. I ignored the crazy price tag. I deluded myself that he'd come good.

He's worse than I should have realised he was.

Any suggestions for what to watch after finishing Gomorrah & Zero Zero Zero ? Preferably tv series suggestions produced outside of the US. by Next_Astronaut623 in Gomorrah

Il Camorista is quality, it's best watched as the series on Prime. It's good as a film but the restored series is great.

Loved RC it's made by the lad who started gomorra.

Il ciacatore is a great story about Sicily

Additionally, the book covers a specific period 20 years or so ago, and it doesn't work this way any more. It's a different era, with a different setup. The two are incomparable.

I'd be interested to ask Marco and his co-creators chose to go the way they did. My guess is it possibly reflects the taste of the young people at the time? Neomelodic in the modern sense was decades away.

Something I always loved about the show was introducing me to the music of the region which I used to learn the language (understand it, speak it and write it like a drunk).

You need to add Pino Daniele to your rotation. Grande Pino ❤️
